Friends? Are they always by my side. I wish so myself but sometimes they aren't. Deluding myself that someday, those friends that I consider as true friends would stay by me and not give in to their personal interests all the time. Deluding myself once again that they will not always leave me out.
Self-interest is always hard to go against but fighting against it for the sake of your friends are sometimes worth it. At the moment in time, you may think losing your friend is nothing compared to fulfilling yourself. However that maybe, once a true friend is lost and betrayed she may not come back to you. Having said all these and thinking back, I may not have much of these so called "true friends". Those whom I think are my true friends turned out to be just a common someone whom you usually talk to only...a distant friend. A true friend was someone whom i never thought to be. A person whom i hardly talk to yet becomes close to her almost immediately when we hangout. Asking me how am I even when I am not in her class or yet knew what happened to me but encourages me. Such friend is considered a real friend. A friend who is even more precious than any other friends whom abandon you in in-vocable times of need. That friend doesn't need you to voice out what are your thoughts, may it be good or bad. She is able to read you and your thoughts simply because she is the one that understands you well enough to be called a real friend. Selfish desires to her are secondary, loyalty is what matters. Who cares if that friend is not your closest friend, if she is able to bring you happiness and joy, comfort and safety, help you whenever and wherever, then cherish her, never let her go. As I have realised today, I have found my one true friend who will never abandon me regardless. We may have talk only once or few times, she is the only one friend who knows my deepest inner feelings that sometimes I myself do not notice. So Thank You. Our friendship will be like the sunrise that comes up everyday...Never ending.
